We were so lucky to spend the weekend after Christmas with the wonderful Meyer family. They gathered together with family members from all over the country (and Hong Kong!) to celebrate the holidays, and the invited us to document all the fun.
From a spa day to flag football to a cooking class, we were there for it all! We had such a great time. Thanks, Meyer family!

Runner's Den
Runner's Den, THE store for running shoes in Phoenix, wanted some images for the front of the store, so we went up to Camelback Mountain for a shoot at sunset. I knew this photo wouldn't work for the final product because it didn't fit the template we were filling, but I couldn't help but making a few frames of it after we shot the images for the store.

Balloons mean "Yay!"
As you can tell, I spent my Saturday re-uploading all the photos to our blog, so you can now see them much larger. To celebrate, I thought I'd post a photo from yesterday's Nebraska-Colorado football game in Lincoln. I volunteered to help out the Lincoln Journal Star with coverage, and I made my way to the northeast corner of the stadium for the balloon release.

Tempe Ironman
Michael's cousin Jim competed in the Ironman in Tempe on Sunday, so we decided we'd go document the day for him. After seeing the sun rise and set and shooting about 2000 images between us, even if Jim doesn't come back next year, we're going to be out there again, taking photos. It was such an amazing experience seeing people doing things we can only imagine, and there were hundreds of opportunities to make beautiful images. We wish we could have hit more of them.

cochise the cat
This little lovely lives on out street. We're not sure who he belongs to (or even if he is actually a he) but we like him, and have named him Cochise. He's very sweet, and I'd love to adopt him, but we don't think the aforementioned dog would appreciate that.

dusty lane
I'd like you to meet our dog, Dusty Lane. He's some sort of Australian Shepherd mix, and totally adorable.
He gets peanut butter once a month when he get a heartworm pill, but we had reached the end of the jar, and i decided to give him a little treat. He loved it! He ran around the yard in circles, jar in mouth. So cute!
If you'd like a pet portrait session, please call or email me. I'll bring the peanut butter!

old bags luncheon
Please don't think I'm being offensive with my headline.
I photographed the Old Bags Luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore on Monday, and trust me, there wasn't an old bag in sight. Lovely ladies got together to raise money for Homeward Bound, a fabulous charity. They bid on handbags (hence the "old bags") and had a delicious lunch under a big white tent, in the very spot where Sen. John McCain would give his concession speech the next night.
It was lots of fun, and they raised a ton of money for a worthy cause.

kristi and bob
On that same trip to Omaha, I also got to take my cousin Kristi and her fiancé Bob's engagement pictures. They're getting married the month after Michael and I are. Aren't they a gorgeous couple?!
We had our session in Omaha's lovely Old Market.

the o'kanes
On a recent trip back home to Omaha, I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friend Kitty's family. Chris and the boys are so lovely and adorable, and I just love getting to spend time with them.
I also have to thank them for being good sports, as I made the boys take off their coats and smile in 40 degree weather with 15 mile an hour wind gusts. There were only a few tears!
Thanks guys!
